Global Energy Investment Shifts Towards Nuclear and Renewables

Global investment in nuclear power and renewable energy is accelerating, according to a new report by the International Energy Agency, as governments seek to strengthen energy security after recent geopolitical shocks. The agency said worldwide energy investment is expected to reach 3.4 trillion US dollars in 2026, with growing emphasis on electricity networks, storage capacity and cleaner technologies. At the same time, spending on oil projects is forecast to decline for the third consecutive year.
