Germany Likely to Miss 2030 Offshore Wind Target

Germany is likely to miss its 2030 offshore wind expansion target. The Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) has warned that the government will probably fall short of its goal to install 30 gigawatts (GW) of capacity in the North and Baltic Seas by the end of the decade. Officials indicated that the target, long considered highly ambitious, may instead be reached with a delay of one to two years.
