Construction of a new power plant at Schkopau in Saxony-Anhalt has completed its first formal step after authorities granted an initial partial permit. The approval, issued by the state administrative office, currently covers only the building and operation of a gatehouse, marking the beginning of a wider, multi-stage planning and authorisation process. Further permits for the main power generation facilities are expected to follow once detailed plans have been finalised.
