Germany Secures Permanent Control Over Rosneft’s Domestic Operations

The European Commission has approved a permanent arrangement allowing the German federal government to assume control of Rosneft’s German operations, ending the need for temporary trusteeships that have been in place since 2022. This formal approval solidifies Berlin’s authority over the subsidiaries of the Russian state oil company within Germany.
