The Czech Republic’s ÚJV Řež has taken a major step toward advancing small modular reactor (SMR) development by signing a memorandum of understanding with UK-based Rolls-Royce SMR. The agreement aims to deepen cooperation on the deployment of SMR technology both domestically and internationally. Under the MoU, the partners will collaborate across a broad set of technical and regulatory areas, ranging from nuclear safety analysis and engineering services to evaluation, testing, and support for licensing processes tailored to Czech requirements.
