Framatome and ENEA Partner on Nuclear Power for Lunar Settlements

France’s Framatome and Italy’s ENEA have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on nuclear reactor technologies that could power future human settlements on the Moon. The deal will focus on three key areas: reactor fuels to ensure safety and efficiency, new materials capable of withstanding extreme lunar conditions, and additive manufacturing to produce essential components.
