Slovakia near deal with the USA to build a new reactor

Slovakia is close to finalizing a major agreement with the United States that would see the U.S. company Westinghouse build a new nuclear reactor at the Jaslovske Bohunice nuclear power plant, Prime Minister Robert Fico announced. This move is part of Slovakia’s broader strategy to expand its nuclear energy capacity over the coming decades to meet increasing electricity consumption and enhance energy security.
