European Commission presents its eight nuclear illustrative programme PINC

The European Commission’s latest nuclear illustrative programme (PINC) estimates that achieving EU Member States’ nuclear energy plans will require around €241 billion in investments by 2050. This funding will support both the extension of existing nuclear reactors’ lifespans and the construction of new large-scale reactors, as well as additional investments in Small Modular Reactors (SMRs), Advanced Modular Reactors (AMRs), microreactors, and fusion technologies for the future.
