Huawei continues to influence European energy laws despite ban

Huawei, the Chinese electronics giant, continues to lobby in European energy legislation despite an EU ban on its representatives due to allegations of bribing Members of the European Parliament (MEPs). Huawei is circumventing the ban by engaging in advocacy through various industry associations. Known for its mobile phones and network gear, Huawei is also a significant player in the solar panel market, being the largest supplier of inverters in Europe.
