US military selects eight potential microreactor suppliers

The US Department of Defense has selected eight technology developers to potentially receive funding for providing fixed on-site microreactors at military installations. These microreactors are intended to support global military operations across various domains, including land, air, sea, space, and cyberspace. The selected companies are Antares Nuclear, BWXT Advanced Technologies, General Atomics Electromagnetic Systems, Kairos Power, Oklo Inc, Radiant Industries, Westinghouse Government Services, and X-Energy.
