Record amount of cargo transported via Northern Sea Route in 2024

In 2024, Rosatom reported a record-breaking 37.8 million tonnes of cargo transported via the Northern Sea Route, surpassing the previous record by 1.6 million tonnes. The year also saw an unprecedented 92 transit voyages. The nuclear icebreaker fleet provided 976 icebreaker escorts and supported 72 vessels with information and navigation services.
