Member countries of the European Nuclear Alliance have urged the next European Commission to recognize the importance of both nuclear and renewable energy in achieving Europe’s decarbonization goals. In a joint statement, the Alliance emphasized the need for Europe to maintain economic competitiveness and resilience, especially in the face of climate change and geopolitical challenges, by using nuclear energy alongside renewables to achieve climate neutrality by 2050.
