First LNG vessel arrives at new Mukran terminal in Germany

The Energos Power vessel carrying liquefied natural gas (LNG) moored at the new German terminal of Mukran on Ruegen island on Saturday 26 February. Based on an approval from local authorities, the vessel has started a test operation. Germany is trying to increase LNG imports for regasification on its shores to reduce its heavy reliance on Russian gas. LNG cargo brought by Energos Power comes from the Norwegian Snøhvit gas field.
