Italy to invest in solar panel production plant in Sicily

According to Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Italy will invest €90 million from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan in Enel's 3Sun Gigafactory producing photovoltaic panels in Sicily. Enel plans to expand the factory's existing production capacity of approximately 200 megawatts (MW) a year to 3 gigawatts (GW) by the end of this year.
