Global natural uranium supply security has come back into the media spotlight following July’s coup in Niger, the world’s sixth-largest producer of uranium. According to representatives from the French company Orano, which is active in uranium mining and processing, the political situation in Niger does not threaten uranium supplies to France and the EU at the moment.
