OSGE applies for an approval of SMRs at six locations in Poland

Orlen Synthos Green Energy (OSGE) recently submitted applications to the Polish Ministry of Climate for a decision-in-principle on the construction of power plants based on GE Hitachi Nuclear Energy's BWRX-300 small modular reactor (SMR) at six locations. The Ministry will decide whether the investment in the plants is in line with the public interest and Polish state policies, including energy policy. The potential approval will also empower OSGE to apply for a number of further administrative decisions, including siting decisions and construction permits.
