A commercial fusion reactor might be built in Canada before 2030

Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) will cooperate with a private company General Fusion on a series of projects to accelerate the deployment of commercial fusion power in Canada. The national nuclear science and technology organisation and the Vancouver-based company will collaborate on projects in areas including feasibility studies, regulatory framework, power plant siting and deployment, infrastructure design, testing and operations support. The goal is to construct a General Fusion commercial power plant in Canada before 2030.
