Spain’s parliament approves the minority government’s energy saving plan

On Thursday 25 August, the Spanish parliament approved the minority government’s energy-saving rules. Spain imports most of its gas from the United States and Algeria, but by reducing energy use the government hopes to free up gas for nations trying to wean themselves off Russian supplies.
