According to IEA, global electricity demand growth slowing sharply

According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), global demand growth for electricity is slowing sharply this year due to sluggish economic growth and record energy prices, and the trend will likely continue next year. In contrast to 2021, in which global electricity demand grew by a strong 6%,  supported by rapid economic recovery as COVID-19 pandemic lockdowns eased, the IEA expects growth to slow to 2.4% in 2022.
