Earlier this year, French President Emmanuel Macron presented a plan for EDF renationalization and a big expansion in nuclear energy in the coming decades. French Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne has recently confirmed in France's lower house of Parliament that the state will increase its shareholding in EDF from the current 84% to 100%. The EDF Board of Directors has said it would provide all its support to achieve this.
