Situation remains tense with gas storage levels in Germany

On Saturday, June 18, Germany's network regulator Bundesnetzagentur confirmed that the situation concerning gas supplies remained tense. There had been a major drop in Russian deliveries and Bundesnetzagentur reiterated its plea to customers to save as much gas as possible. Gas storage levels stood at 56.67% on Saturday. Germany's government has also urged companies and households to bring down gas consumption to a bare minimum to ensure storage levels are adequate before the heating season starts in about 12 weeks.
