EU talks with partners to boost gas supplies

According to Energy Commissioner Kadri Simson, the European Union is talking with partners about the potential for increasing gas supplies. The gas storage levels in the EU are significantly lower than usual at this time of the year. Gas prices are soaring because of decreased supplies from Russia; however, they deny accusations of market manipulation. Simson plans to attend conferences in Azerbaijan and Washington in February to discuss ways for increasing gas deliveries to Europe.
