International Methane Emissions Observatory launched

The UN Environment Programme (UNEP), with support from the European Union, launched a new observatory called IMEO (International Methane Emissions Observatory) at the G20 Summit which will gather global reports on emissions. The IMEO will initially focus on emissions from fossil fuels, and then expand to other major emitting sectors like agriculture and waste.
