Slovakian parliament bans foreign nuclear waste processing

Processing radioactive waste or used fuel from other countries has been banned in Slovakia by a parliamentary resolution which was passed by majority. It is effective retrospectively from 1 September but does not impact contracts made before that date. The parliamentary resolution amends the Environment Act of 1992. It explicitly prohibits activities related to radioactive waste and used nuclear fuel which does not originate in Slovakia.
