Vestas' giant turbines selected for Germany's first subsidy-free offshore wind farm

Vestas has announced that EnBW has selected a new type of turbine, which will be the world's biggest, as their preferred option for the 900 MW He Dreiht project in the German North Sea. It will be operated without subsidies. Giant turbines, which are more efficient, are key to the offshore wind industry in order to remain profitable after countries phase out subsidies.
