Reactor vessel installed at first Akkuyu unit in Turkey

The Russian state corporation Rosatom has announced that the reactor pressure vessel (RPV) has been installed at unit 1 of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant in Turkey. Rosatom is constructing four VVER-1200 reactors in Mersin province. The vessel weighs 330 tonnes, it is 4.5 metre in diameter and 12 metres high.
