Siemens companies develop a wind turbine that produces hydrogen

Siemens Gamesa and Siemens Energy are developing a commercial offshore wind turbine that produces hydrogen via electrolysis. The companies plan to invest 120 million euros in the system. The renewable industry expects  a boom in hydrogen demand. Renewable hydrogen can replace fossil fuels in sectors that are struggling to decarbonise.
