Nord Stream 2 construction resumed despite US sanctions

Russia has resumed construction work on the Nord Stream 2 pipeline, which was suspended last year after sanctions from the United States. The pipeline, which will connect Russia and Germany via the Baltic Sea, will double the capacity of natural gas exported to Germany. Construction of the pipeline is more than 90 % complete.
