Projects can start to apply for funding from the EU’s Innovation Fund

The European Commission has established the Innovation Fund which will finance breakthrough technologies for renewable energy, energy-intensive industries, energy storage, and carbon capture, use and storage. For the period 2020-2030, the Fund will allocate around €10 billion from auctioning emission allowances. It will also allocate undisbursed revenues from the Fund's predecessor, the NER 300 programme.
