Another delay of Olkiluoto NPP commissioning

The Finish utility Teollisuuden Voima Oyj (TVO) has informed the public about another delay to the commissioning of the third unit at the Olkiluoto NPP. The deadline has been postponed by six months to July 2020. The Areva-Siemens consortium is the general plant supplier. According to the new schedule, nuclear fuel will now be loaded into the reactor in January 2020 and the first connection to the grid will take place in April 2020. The start of commercial operations is planned for July 2020.
