The European Commission (EC) has published the fourth report on the state of the Energy Union which is supposed to guarantee accessible, affordable, secure, competitive and sustainable energy for all Europeans. Within the framework of the Energy Union, Europe is trying to reduce energy import costs and fulfil its commitments under the Paris Agreement. A unified, interconnected, secure and sustainable Energy Union, which was just a vision in 2014, has become a reality according to the published report.
