Liquefied Natural Gas imports from the U.S. continue to rise

Since 25 July 2018 when EU President Juncker proclaimed in Washington D.C. that the EU will import more Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) from the U.S., the LNG imports increased by 181%. The European Union is ready to facilitate another import increase if the market conditions are right and prices are competitive. An increased share of LNG from the United States will enable Europe to diversify its markets and ensure the security of its energy supply.
