Researchers are looking for more effective hydrogen-storage methods

Hydrogen-powered vehicles offer a cleaner alternative to fossil-fuel-based vehicles. Current hydrogen cars, however, use expensive, bulky cooling or compression systems to store enough hydrogen. Scientists and developers are, therefore, looking for more efficient hydrogen-storage methods. In the ACS' Chemistry of Materials journal, an article has been published recently by scientists who set a new record for hydrogen storage capacity using metal-organic frameworks (MOFs).
