The European Commission approves EUR 200 million in state aid for renewables in France

The European Commission has approved the proposal of the French government to provide state support to companies and individuals that install small sources of renewable energy with a capacity of between 100 and 500 kilowatts. The electricity that is generated is intended for the owner’s own use (self-consumption). The French government has set aside approximately EUR 200 million in the state budget for this support scheme.
