The new Price Decision No. 3/2018 on support for renewable sources of energy, published by the Czech Energy Regulatory Office, significantly reduces green bonuses paid to renewables next year. New tariffs will be used from 1 January 2019. Because of a substantial increase in the power electricity market price in 2018, as compared to 2017, electricity producers are able to sell electricity for a higher price, and it is possible to reduce the green bonuses which are a burden for both consumers and the state budget.
