The American president Donald Trump expressed his excitement about the statement from the European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker who pledged that the EU will build more terminals to import US liquefied natural gas (LNG). The EU which imports 40 percent of the gas it consumes from Russia has talked about diversifying gas suppliers for a long time. In spite of that, it has few objections to the Nord Stream II pipeline, which would even increase is dependence on Russia.
