Energy efficiency has got a priority in Europe

Negotiators from the European Commission, Parliament and Council have agreed on modifying the Energy Efficiency Directive. The new directive sets a new energy efficiency target for 2030 of 32.5%. Extending the energy saving programme beyond 2020 should attract private investments and new market actors.
