In the Q4 2017, 23.4 TWh of electricity was produced, which is by 7% more than in the same period the previous year (Q4 2016). Overall gross electricity consumption in the Czech Republic more or less stagnated in Q4 2017, and reached 19.6 TWh.

Since October to December 2017, the Czech Republic exported 3.7 TWh of electricity during cross-boarder flows (actual physical flows). It exceeded the export in Q4 2016 by 58%.

Total natural gas consumption in Q4 2017 reached 2,684,000,000 m3 (28,611 GWh) which is less than in Q4 2016 by 8.1%. The consumption dropped in each individual month of Q4 2017, probably because the recorded average temperature in Q4 was about 1.5°C above the long-term temperature average.

Highest daily natural gas consumption was recorded on 19 December (daily average temperature was 3.2°C), and the minimum daily consumption was recorded on 15 October (daily average temperature was 12.5°C).
