The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) has published a report on dropping weighted average costs of renewables. Newly introduced auction schemes and the emergence of a large base of experienced medium-to-large project developers competing for global market opportunities, are behind the recent cost reductions, together with continued technology advancements.
