China plans to ban gasoline and diesel cars

China wants to follow France and Britain and ban the sale of combustion-engine vehicles. According to the Chinese government officials, no date for such a measure has been specified yet.

This move, which would have a huge impact on the global auto industry, would be a significant boost to the electric car manufacturers.

France and Britain plan to ban combustion-engine vehicles from 2040. At the moment, China wants to focus on the related research and development. Reduction of the harmful emissions would greatly help China in a fight with significant environmental pollution
