The Copenhagen-based European Environment Agency (EEA) released its annual report which is based on data from more than 400 cities between 2000 and 2014.

The Air quality in Europe — 2016 report on air quality acknowledges that there have been improvements in recent decades, air quality, however, remains to be a major health risk.
