Short overview of the Czech Energy Regulatory Office activities over the last 5 years

ERO has calculated the impact of the renewables support on public finances to almost one trillion CZK;
ERO has initiated a legislative change and support stop for new renewable sources since 2014;
ERO has protected the consumers by requesting a price cap on the fee the households are obligated to pay to 495 CZK per MWh;

ERO has blocked the support for biomethane;
ERO has informed the corresponding institutions that the previous ERO management has determined the support for renewables above the framework of their legal authorization;
ERO has stopped the electricity billing modification (based on the circuit breaker size);
ERO has introduced so called indicative gas price for the consumers’ better orientation on the gas market.
