Con Edison and SunPower will offer a virtual power plant

Virtual power plant offered by Con Edison and SunPower will consist of individual photovoltaic systems and batteries. Participation in the virtual power plant programme will be offered to more than 300 homeowners in the state of New York, USA. The power plant installed capacity should be 1.8 megawatts. The new system will be used as a backup system during a power outage, and it will increase the grid resiliency and reliability.
